The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Business and Economics Teacher to join a growing department and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development. This role involves teaching both subjects at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, contributing to a vibrant and innovative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Business and Economics at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 using a range of engaging and effective teaching strategies.
- Deliver lessons that align with the CIE and Edexcel syllabuses, ensuring high academic standards and student engagement.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities, including trips, the Investment Society, and Financial Literacy Clubs.
- Support the development of students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through interactive and challenging lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Business and Economics Department to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
- Use interactive smartboards and Google Classroom to deliver lessons and support student learning.
- Contribute to the school’s vision by participating in co-curricular activities, open days, and community events.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture that encourages student growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Business and Economics at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Strong knowledge of CIE and Edexcel syllabuses for Business and Economics.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values and vision, including a passion for education and student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration in the classroom.
- Background in extra-curricular program development or leadership.
- Experience with international teaching environments or relocation support.
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and international education standards.
