Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective science lessons in line with the Pearson Edexcel curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment in purpose-built science laboratories.
• Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the science program.
• Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and achievement.
• Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science subject.
• A recognised initial teacher training qualification.
• Experience teaching science at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.

Preferred

• Experience with the Pearson Edexcel curriculum at KS4 and 5.
• Leadership experience or an interest in taking on a leadership role within the science department.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
• Familiarity with information and communication technology in education.
