As an EAL Teacher, you will support students in developing confidence and fluency in English, enabling them to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, and support students learning English as an additional language (EAL)
• Maintain the EAL register and manage the internal referral process
• Collaborate with class teachers to embed language support in the classroom
• Use assessment data to set language goals and track progress
• Provide clear progress updates and maintain accurate records
• Deliver targeted interventions to accelerate English acquisition
• Communicate effectively with families to ensure a strong home-school partnership
• Embody the values and vision of the school in all aspects of the role

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or English with PGCE/QTS or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ proven experience working with students requiring English language support in international schools
• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and best practices in inclusion
• Ability to identify learning barriers and create practical, personalised strategies

Preferred

• Enthusiasm for integrating technology to enhance learning outcomes
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL/TESOL)
