The Opportunity:
As a Business Studies and Accounting Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for university and future success. You will deliver engaging lessons, support student welfare, and contribute to a vibrant co-curricular program. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach the Business Studies and Accounting curriculum, ensuring students are prepared for university entry.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a respectful classroom environment.
- Track student progress, assess work, and write reports as required.
- Maintain accurate and efficient class attendance records.
- Supervise play and lunch sessions as directed.
- Act as a pastoral tutor, advising students on their academic and personal development.
- Support a school House and participate in its activities.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Carry out evening boarding supervision duties as required.
- Contribute to co-curricular activities, including sport, arts, academic enrichment, and outdoor pursuits.
- Assist with marketing and admissions, attend staff meetings, and participate in school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Business Studies and Accounting.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to prepare and deliver high-quality lessons.
- Experience in pastoral care and student welfare.
- Commitment to safeguarding and compliance with school policies.
- Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities and support the school’s ethos.
Preferred
- Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE or A Levels.
- Background in co-curricular leadership or extracurricular program development.
- Experience with boarding supervision or pastoral care in an international school setting.
- Fluency in a second language.
