The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Studies and Economics Teacher to join our successful department and contribute to the academic and personal growth of students. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5, working within a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies and Economics to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the department’s curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and personal growth.
- Participate in joint planning, CPD, and team meetings to ensure continuous professional development.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events to enhance the student experience.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies and Economics.
- Experience teaching at Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
Preferred
- Experience in a high-performing department with a track record of academic achievement.
- Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with CPD and collaboration within a team setting.
- Previous involvement in extra-curricular activities or community projects.
