The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching and learning tailored to students with autism. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and develop curriculum plans that meet students’ educational, physical, and social needs.
Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to support student learning and development.
Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets in line with school policies.
Assess, track, and report student progress to stakeholders regularly.
Create structured, engaging lessons with clear objectives and challenge.
Contribute to reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC meetings.
Stay informed on autism-related developments to support effective teaching.
Work positively and non-confrontationally to meet individual needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Ability to teach across a range of subjects
Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profiles
Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing challenging behaviours

Preferred

Experience teaching KS1 and early KS2
Knowledge of specialist education for students with communication difficulties
