The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Studies Teacher with Leadership Potential to join our growing secondary team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of our Business and Economics programs, while supporting the school's mission of nurturing well-rounded, globally aware students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business Studies and Economics across the secondary phase, including Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma programs.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities department to develop and enhance the Business and Economics curriculum.
  • Provide high-quality instruction that promotes student engagement, academic success, and personal development.
  • Participate in after-school programs, events, and activities that support the school's commitment to educating the whole child.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to work as part of a team and adapt to new situations with flexibility and initiative.
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to raising attainment across all ability levels.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including training to teach the IB Diploma program.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies and Economics at the secondary level, up to Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies and Economics, including IGCSE and IB curriculum requirements.
  • Commitment to child-centered education and a passion for helping students reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma programs.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and international education standards.
  • Experience with the IB Diploma program or willingness to develop subject knowledge to teach at this level.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities and school events.
