The Opportunity:

As an Art Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding students through the UK curriculum and IGCSE Art & Design programme. You will help develop students’ artistic skills, confidence, and creative expression, while contributing to a vibrant and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, structured, and creative Art lessons aligned with the UK curriculum and IGCSE Art & Design programme.
  • Support students in developing technical skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and visual analysis.
  • Prepare and guide students for IGCSE Art & Design coursework and assessments.
  • Design and implement hands-on, inspiring art projects that promote creativity and critical thinking.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methodologies and student outcomes.
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance learning and maintain digital portfolios.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Art within the British curriculum.
  • Strong knowledge of Art teaching methodologies in KS2, KS3, and KS4.
  • Experience with IGCSE Art & Design curriculum delivery or preparation.
  • Native level of English.

Preferred

  • Experience in preparing students for IGCSE Art & Design exams.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.
  • Passion for inspiring young learners and developing their artistic confidence.
