Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chemistry across the secondary age range using the IB Middle Years and Diploma programmes.
• Embed the IB Learner Profile and core academic skills of research and inquiry into the curriculum.
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential in Chemistry.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the pastoral care of students through form tutoring or co-tutoring.
• Participate in the extra-curricular life of the school and support a wide range of student activities.
• Continuously develop professional expertise and share best practices with the department.
• Prepare and deliver engaging, challenging, and relevant lessons that promote student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
• Experience teaching Chemistry within the IB framework.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the IB Learner Profile and inquiry-based learning.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

Preferred

• Previous experience in the IB Middle Years or IB Diploma programme.
• Experience in pastoral care or form tutoring.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching.
