The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Secondary Music Teacher to join our growing team and contribute to a dynamic and ambitious music programme. This role offers the opportunity to shape the musical education of students from Year 1 to 13 in a state-of-the-art environment, including a purpose-built music department and a 600-seat theatre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level curricula.
  • Deliver a high-quality, values-based education that inspires and challenges students.
  • Contribute to the school’s strong enrichment programme, including choirs, ensembles, and musical performances.
  • Support the development of the school’s music curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with the Drama department on musical productions.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation in music education.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students within the music department.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning through continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in Music, preferably in the UK or an international setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or managing a music programme.
  • Experience with GCSE and A Level Music curricula.
  • Strong background in music performance or composition.
  • Experience with music technology and digital resources.
