Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students aged 14-18 in Key Stage 4 and 5.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the science curriculum.
• Support student progress through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Department to enhance teaching and learning.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay up to date with best practices in science education.
• Prepare and manage resources to support effective teaching and student achievement.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant qualifications in chemistry or science at degree level.
• Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons tailored to diverse learner needs.
• Strong communication skills with students and colleagues.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Preferred

• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
