Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students aged 14-18 in Key Stage 4 and 5.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the science curriculum.
- Support student progress through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Department to enhance teaching and learning.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay up to date with best practices in science education.
- Prepare and manage resources to support effective teaching and student achievement.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in chemistry or science at degree level.
- Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons tailored to diverse learner needs.
- Strong communication skills with students and colleagues.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Preferred
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
