The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in the strategic leadership of a school committed to excellence. You will support the Senior Leadership Team in driving improvement and maintaining high standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of Year 11 students, working closely with year leaders to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Monitor and track student progress across all year groups and coordinate interventions where needed.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the school and support the Headteacher in implementing the school’s vision.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to maintain and enhance the school’s culture and ethos.
  • Develop and implement policies that support student achievement and staff development.
  • Work with the leadership team to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
  • Support the school’s continued improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the ongoing success of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Experience in driving improvement and maintaining high standards in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in overseeing Year 11 and leading student outcomes.
  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative setting.
  • Experience in strategic planning and school improvement.
  • Experience in professional development and staff training.
