The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to deliver engaging and impactful lessons across KS4, KS5, and IB programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated science department and make a meaningful contribution to student success and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry across KS4, KS5, and IB, delivering high-quality and well-structured lessons.
  • Prepare students effectively for external examinations and internal assessments.
  • Support students in developing strong analytical, practical, and independent learning skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative planning within the science department.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at KS4 and KS5 levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice.
  • Commitment to high academic standards and student engagement.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB curriculum.
  • Experience in curriculum development and collaborative planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
