The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Class Teacher for KS2 to join a dynamic and supportive school community. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners within a school that values academic achievement and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach whole classes, groups, and individuals to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum
  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour through clear expectations and positive reinforcement
  • Participate in the school’s performance management and professional development programs
  • Identify and support students with special educational needs
  • Design and adapt long, medium, and short-term teaching plans
  • Mark and monitor students’ work, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Supervise students during playtime, lunchtime, and school clubs
  • Attend staff meetings, parent evenings, open days, and school events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Class Teacher
  • Ability to teach the primary curriculum to a high standard
  • Strong understanding of school policies and professional responsibilities
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Specialism in Maths and/or Science
  • Experience in teaching up to and including Year 8 (KS3)
  • Passion for extracurricular activities and school life
  • Experience in managing teaching assistants and support staff
