The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Support students in building confidence and a lifelong interest in Maths and numerical reasoning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives that promote student well-being and achievement.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths experience, preferably in KS3/KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience working with vulnerable or challenging students.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs (SEN) settings.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a middle leadership role.
  • Familiarity with multi-agency working and student reintegration strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
