The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Classics to students in the Junior and Lower School.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support the academic and personal development of students.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and community events.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Classics and incorporate new teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Contribute to the school’s continued growth and success through professional collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • British teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a UK independent or international school.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Classics.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a UK independent or international school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery in a small class environment.
  • Familiarity with British independent education standards.
  • Experience with cross-cultural collaboration and international education.
