As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching and targeted interventions for students with SEND
- Assess learning needs and develop, implement, and review Individual Education or Learning Support Plans
- Work closely with classroom teachers to support inclusive practice and effective differentiation
- Monitor, track, and report on student progress to parents and school leaders
- Liaise with parents and external professionals to ensure coordinated support
- Contribute positively to the inclusive ethos and wider life of the school
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving academic and personal success
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective support for students with SEND
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (UK or equivalent), with SEND training or experience
- At least 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally including SEND provision
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High expectations for all learners and a genuine commitment to inclusion
Preferred
- Additional SEND qualifications
- International school experience
- Experience supporting students with SEND and EAL
