As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. You will work in a progressive and innovative learning environment, contributing to the school’s inclusive ethos and helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching and targeted interventions for students with SEND
  • Assess learning needs and develop, implement, and review Individual Education or Learning Support Plans
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to support inclusive practice and effective differentiation
  • Monitor, track, and report on student progress to parents and school leaders
  • Liaise with parents and external professionals to ensure coordinated support
  • Contribute positively to the inclusive ethos and wider life of the school
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving academic and personal success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective support for students with SEND

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (UK or equivalent), with SEND training or experience
  • At least 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally including SEND provision
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High expectations for all learners and a genuine commitment to inclusion

Preferred

  • Additional SEND qualifications
  • International school experience
  • Experience supporting students with SEND and EAL
