The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to support the Premises Team in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment across the school. This role offers the chance to contribute to the daily operations of a vibrant and growing institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all school areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the premises team under the guidance of the Cleaning Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the relevant team members promptly.
- Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
- Work flexible hours, including during school holidays and term time.
- Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support the smooth running of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in cleaning or a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a workplace setting.
- Flexibility to work across different areas of the school and during school holidays.
