The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to support the Premises Team in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment across the school. This role offers the chance to contribute to the daily operations of a vibrant and growing institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all school areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the premises team under the guidance of the Cleaning Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
  • Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the relevant team members promptly.
  • Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Work flexible hours, including during school holidays and term time.
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support the smooth running of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience in cleaning or a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a workplace setting.
  • Flexibility to work across different areas of the school and during school holidays.
