The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computing Teacher to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Computing lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects current industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Support students in developing digital literacy and computational thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Computing and integrate new technologies into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Computing or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computing, including programming and digital technologies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Experience of working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a Catholic or values-based school setting.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools used in Computing education.
  • Experience with curriculum development and cross-subject collaboration.
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
