Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality, differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Monitor and support student progress as a form tutor and through regular assessments.
- Create a motivating and safe learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of departmental and curriculum plans, including resource creation and syllabus design.
- Participate in staff development and professional growth opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Support the school's pastoral system and contribute to student well-being.
- Ensure the use of technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Proven teaching experience at secondary level, preferably in a multi-ethnic urban school setting.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage your own workload effectively.
- Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive teaching tools.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Computer Science or a related subject.
- Experience in an 11-18 school setting.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
- Experience in pastoral care or form tutoring.
