The Opportunity:
As a Senior Electrician, you will lead electrical maintenance and installation work across both school sites, ensuring systems are safe, operational, and compliant with all standards. This role is vital in maintaining the school’s infrastructure and supporting the delivery of high-quality services by the in-house team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all electrical maintenance, compliance, and installation work across both sites.
- Provide specialist technical expertise to ensure electrical systems meet statutory and safety requirements.
- Deliver routine and specialist electrical works, including remedial and statutory tasks.
- Collaborate with the in-house Estates team to reduce reliance on external contractors.
- Ensure all electrical systems are fully operational and in line with required standards.
- Support the delivery of high-quality maintenance and installation services.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical works and compliance checks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrician or in a similar role.
- Relevant electrical qualifications and certifications, including City & Guilds or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and statutory compliance.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred
- Experience with large-scale electrical installations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of building management systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Experience with project management and coordination of electrical works.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in educational environments.
