The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across a range of subjects. This role is vital in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of education during teacher absences. The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding the school’s vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adapted pre-planned lessons in line with the subject curriculum sequence.
  • Maintain high standards of student behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and senior leaders.
  • Support the school’s vision and values through consistent application of the Trust’s key drivers.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Continuously improve personal practice and contribute to the school’s professional development culture.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Suitable qualifications and experience in teaching or education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and key drivers.
  • High expectations of student behaviour and engagement.
  • A growth mindset and a strong work ethic.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school or academy setting.
