The Opportunity:

As a Progress Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic progress, personal development, and overall wellbeing. This position offers the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives while being part of a supportive and values-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track student attendance and academic progress
  • Deliver group tutorials and provide individual mentoring to students
  • Support students in developing personal and academic goals
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support services
  • Provide guidance on personal growth and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student development
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Assist in the implementation of strategies to improve student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in education or student support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Experience in monitoring student progress and attendance

Preferred

  • Experience in a college or sixth form setting
  • Knowledge of pastoral care and student wellbeing strategies
  • Experience with mentoring or one-to-one support
  • Familiarity with Safer Recruitment processes and safeguarding policies
