As a Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality of teaching and learning during staff absences. You will support pupils in a stimulating and nurturing environment, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Support pupils in a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
- Work closely with the Head of Pre-Prep or Head of Prep to ensure seamless teaching continuity.
- Adhere to the school’s policies, procedures, and values at all times.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of lesson plans where required.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and academic achievement.
- Contribute to the overall success of the school through a collaborative and professional approach.
- Be flexible and available to cover lessons as required, including during absences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
- Ability to deliver lessons to a range of age groups and key stages.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and cover lessons as required.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role or within a preparatory school setting.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning.
- Experience with pastoral care and supporting student well-being.
- Demonstrable ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
