Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities across STEM subjects.
- Provide assistance and advice to teaching staff in meeting the needs of the STEM curriculum.
- Liaise with teaching and support staff across the school to ensure effective resource management.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Support the delivery of practical lessons and experiments under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of STEM-related projects and initiatives.
- Keep accurate records of resource usage and maintenance schedules.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance the learning experience for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a laboratory or technical support role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of STEM subjects and practical teaching methods.
- Commitment to health and safety standards in a laboratory environment.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or college setting.
- Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment and software.
- Previous experience in curriculum support or resource management.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
