The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities across STEM subjects.
  • Provide assistance and advice to teaching staff in meeting the needs of the STEM curriculum.
  • Liaise with teaching and support staff across the school to ensure effective resource management.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support the delivery of practical lessons and experiments under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of STEM-related projects and initiatives.
  • Keep accurate records of resource usage and maintenance schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance the learning experience for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a laboratory or technical support role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of STEM subjects and practical teaching methods.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards in a laboratory environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or college setting.
  • Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment and software.
  • Previous experience in curriculum support or resource management.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
