Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Maths department.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Maths and STEM.

  • Stay up to date with current developments in Maths education and incorporate these into teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to train for it.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Maths at secondary level or a commitment to train as a teacher.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at a school with a strong academic tradition.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and technology in education.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
