Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across all age groups and qualifications, including Cambridge Nationals and A Levels.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
- Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including after-school fixtures and weekend events.
- Support the school’s mission to build confidence, resilience, and a positive culture in students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Promote the values of the school, including kindness, excellence, and community.
- Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education in a school setting.
- Ability to teach across a range of age groups and qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Specialism in netball and/or hockey.
- Experience with Cambridge Nationals and A Level Physical Education.
- Involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with Positive Education and wellbeing initiatives.
- Experience in a school with a strong community ethos.
