Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across all age groups and qualifications, including Cambridge Nationals and A Levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including after-school fixtures and weekend events.
  • Support the school’s mission to build confidence, resilience, and a positive culture in students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
  • Promote the values of the school, including kindness, excellence, and community.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Physical Education in a school setting.
  • Ability to teach across a range of age groups and qualifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Specialism in netball and/or hockey.
  • Experience with Cambridge Nationals and A Level Physical Education.
  • Involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with Positive Education and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Experience in a school with a strong community ethos.
