The Opportunity:

As a Dance Teacher Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dance education to students across the school. You will also contribute to the choreography of the whole school musical and help produce a major dance performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build a career in dance education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a comprehensive dance programme for students of all abilities
  • Collaborate with other staff to develop and perform in the school’s major dance productions
  • Support the choreography of the school musical and other performances
  • Act as a tutor in one of the school’s boarding houses
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students in dance and performing arts
  • Work closely with senior staff to ensure the highest standards in teaching and performance
  • Assist in the organisation and delivery of extracurricular dance events
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate qualification in dance or performing arts
  • Strong dancing and choreography skills
  • Experience in teaching or working with young people
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to working in a boarding environment

Preferred

  • Experience in choreographing for school or theatre productions
  • Familiarity with dance education and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of different dance styles and techniques
  • Experience with performance production and event organisation
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
