Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality dance lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and self-expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized feedback and mentorship.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with current trends and developments in dance education.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate dance into the broader curriculum where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant dance education experience.
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques and styles.
- Experience in teaching students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular dance programs.
- Experience with curriculum design and assessment in dance education.
- Familiarity with teaching in a multi-academy trust environment.
- Experience with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £32,916 to £51,048.
