Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality dance lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized feedback and mentorship.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in dance education.
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate dance into the broader curriculum where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant dance education experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dance techniques and styles.
  • Experience in teaching students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular dance programs.
  • Experience with curriculum design and assessment in dance education.
  • Familiarity with teaching in a multi-academy trust environment.
  • Experience with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
