Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality software development curriculum across key stages.
  • Lead and mentor a team of teachers to ensure consistent and effective delivery of computing education.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate technology across the school's academic programs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development education.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of school-wide technology initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure learning outcomes are met.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in computing or software development education.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of educators.
  • Strong knowledge of software development and programming languages.
  • Experience in curriculum design and delivery at multiple key stages.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in a co-educational, independent school environment.
  • Familiarity with teaching in a multi-faith setting.
  • Leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with industry-standard software development tools and practices.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum.
