The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Drama Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality drama lessons that inspire creativity and engagement.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and values.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous improvement.
- Support students in developing confidence, communication skills, and artistic expression.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and pastoral care initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
- Contribute to the school’s culture of collaboration and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in drama education.
- Strong knowledge of drama pedagogy and curriculum requirements.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Familiarity with collaborative teaching and shared planning practices.
- Experience with student pastoral care and support.
- Previous experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
