Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality drama lessons that inspire creativity and engagement.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and values.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous improvement.
  • Support students in developing confidence, communication skills, and artistic expression.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and pastoral care initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in drama education.
  • Strong knowledge of drama pedagogy and curriculum requirements.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Familiarity with collaborative teaching and shared planning practices.
  • Experience with student pastoral care and support.
  • Previous experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
