The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision of preparing students for further education and the world of work.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student aspiration and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the academy and TrustEd Schools Partnership to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Provide tailored support and guidance to students to ensure their academic and personal development.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities and extra-curricular programs.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Design and Technology field and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering cross-curricular projects or leading extra-curricular activities.
- Familiarity with the TrustEd Schools Partnership and its collaborative approach.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to use digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
