The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision of preparing students for further education and the world of work.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student aspiration and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the academy and TrustEd Schools Partnership to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Provide tailored support and guidance to students to ensure their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities and extra-curricular programs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Design and Technology field and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering cross-curricular projects or leading extra-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the TrustEd Schools Partnership and its collaborative approach.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to use digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
