The Opportunity:

As an SEN Teacher, you will inspire and support students with additional needs to achieve their full potential through creative and inclusive teaching. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach to a high standard and ensure all pupils access the knowledge relevant to the subject area.
  • Liaise with other schools to develop and enhance curriculum areas.
  • Develop and oversee the scheme of learning for curriculum areas.
  • Monitor pupil progress and implement interventions where necessary.
  • Maintain a development plan for the subject areas.
  • Stay updated with changes within curriculum areas and deliver training to staff.
  • Support the development of differentiated curriculum and teaching approaches across the school.
  • Enable access to learning and social opportunities for pupils with SEN through teaching and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a specialist setting (highly desirable).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Preferred

  • Experience with autism and complex needs.
  • Background in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
