The Opportunity:

As Director of Inclusion, you will lead trust-wide strategies for safeguarding, SEND, behaviour, personal development, and careers education. This is a transformative role with the potential to impact thousands of students and shape a culture of inclusion and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement trust-wide strategies for behaviour, safeguarding, SEND, personal development, and careers education.
  • Ensure consistent application of values across all schools, promoting a culture of inclusion, fairness, and high expectations.
  • Strengthen safeguarding practice and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Develop and monitor data-driven strategies to improve student outcomes and support staff.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to shape and deliver strategic plans that enhance student experience and well-being.
  • Champion inclusion and equity, particularly for vulnerable students, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and empowered.
  • Build strong relationships across the trust, influencing colleagues at all levels and fostering a culture of trust and respect.
  • Drive improvement through evidence-based practice, using insights and analysis to shape decision-making and priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within education, with a focus on inclusion, safeguarding, and student support.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory safeguarding guidance, the SEND Code of Practice, and careers education requirements.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive improvement and monitor impact.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Trust-wide frameworks for behaviour, safeguarding, and personal development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence colleagues at all levels, fostering collaboration and high expectations.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives and driving cultural change across multiple schools.
  • Background in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Expertise in curriculum development and extra-curricular programme delivery.
  • Experience with professional development and leadership training for educators.
