The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a motivated and qualified Secondary Geography Teacher to join its team for the 2026/27 academic year. The role involves teaching Geography up to KS5, with the IB being a significant advantage, as well as teaching History up to Year 10. This is an opportunity to work in a friendly, creative, and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography up to KS5, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) or French International Baccalaureate (BFI)
  • Deliver engaging and impactful lessons to students across all key stages
  • Teach History up to Year 10
  • Foster a love of Geography through extra-curricular activities and enrichment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies
  • Support student progress through differentiated instruction and assessment
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography
  • Experience teaching Geography up to KS5
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography and History
  • Commitment to fostering a love of learning and extra-curricular engagement
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Preferred

  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) or French International Baccalaureate (BFI)
  • Experience in a bilingual or international school setting
  • Background in pedagogical innovation and continuous professional development
  • Familiarity with bilingual education and international curricula
