Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for the sports department.
• Lead and manage a team of highly skilled and talented staff.
• Deliver high-quality A-level PE teaching to students.
• Promote the importance of sport in all areas of student life.
• Support the school’s commitment to producing elite sportswomen who act as role models.
• Ensure the department maintains a strong record of success in national competitions.
• Foster a culture of inclusivity, leadership, and personal development through sport.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate sport into the broader educational experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Expertise in a specialist sport with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience in teaching A-level PE.
• Ability to inspire a passion for sport and motivate students.
• Understanding of the boarding community and its unique needs.

Preferred

• Experience in sports science or related fields.
• Knowledge of strategic development in sports education.
• Experience in managing and leading large teams.
• Background in elite athlete development or competitive sports coaching.
