The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Music and Drama Teacher to join its team. This role is split 50% Music and 50% Drama and offers the opportunity to inspire creativity and confidence in students. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of an ambitious curriculum and be actively involved in school events and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Music and Drama lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Inspire creativity, confidence, and a love of the arts in all students.
  • Contribute to school productions, concerts, enrichment clubs, and wider school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop an ambitious curriculum and exciting performance calendar.
  • Support the development of instrumental, vocal, and ensemble opportunities.
  • Promote a Catholic ethos and student-centred approach in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience teaching Music to at least Key Stage 3.
  • Strong subject knowledge in both Music and Drama.
  • Ability to deliver practical, imaginative lessons.
  • Commitment to student achievement and growth.
  • Willingness to be actively involved in the wider life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Music and/or Drama at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Experience with instrumental/vocal work and ensemble opportunities.
  • Experience in school productions or events.
  • Experience in a Catholic school setting.
