The Opportunity:
As a Director of Teaching and Learning, you will lead and shape the educational vision of the school, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning across all levels. This role is ideal for an innovative and strategic leader committed to fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement school-wide strategies for teaching and learning that align with international curricula and best practices.
- Provide expert coaching and support to teachers to enhance instructional quality and student outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development through mentoring, workshops, and collaborative planning.
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with educational research, technology integration, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead initiatives that promote innovation, differentiation, and inclusivity in the classroom.
- Facilitate collaborative meetings and discussions that encourage critical thinking and shared decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning strategies, making data-informed recommendations for improvement.
- Support the school’s mission by engaging in community activities and school functions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recognised teaching qualification, including a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching diploma, or a Bachelor of Education.
- Minimum of five years of relevant teaching experience with a proven track record in leading instructional growth.
- Deep understanding of research related to early years through to secondary education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the IB framework and experience with multiple curricula.
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience in curriculum development and educational technology integration.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on fostering inclusive learning communities.
- Experience in strategic planning and project management.
- Proficiency in differentiated instruction and social-emotional learning.
