The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Economics and Business Teacher to join our expanding Senior School team. This role offers the chance to shape the academic vision and lead the development of Economics and Business education at a school growing into one of the region’s leading all-through institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop Economics and Business education across the Senior School, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Deliver Economics and Business lessons to Year 12 pupils, with responsibility extending to Year 13 as the school expands.
• Collaborate with the Head of Maths to support Key Stage 3 students in Maths.
• Plan and deliver Key Stage 5 curriculum, including A-level Economics and Business courses.
• Oversee assessment, tracking, and reporting to support academic success.
• Demonstrate expertise in teaching Economics and Business at A-level.
• Model best practices in teaching and learning, promoting analytical thinking and high expectations.
• Implement systems for departmental self-evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Design and administer a co-curricular programme to develop financial literacy and enterprise skills.
• Coordinate an annual calendar of Economics and Business events and workshops.
• Support students applying to top universities and business-related programmes.
• Prepare students for academic competitions and Olympiads.
• Work with EAL and AEN teams to provide tailored support for students.
• Contribute to the pastoral system and act as a Sixth Form tutor.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and support the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business with PGCE or equivalent.
• Proven experience in delivering Economics and Business A-level courses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to the school’s values of curiosity, confidence, and kindness.
• Ability to work in a diverse, international environment.

Preferred

• Experience in an international school setting.
• Understanding of global educational practices and curricula.
• Leadership experience in academic or pastoral roles.
