Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons that encourage creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking.
  • Design and implement curricula aligned with international standards, including the National Curriculum for England and Cambridge IGCSE.
  • Assess student progress using a variety of strategies and provide meaningful feedback to support learning and development.
  • Promote international-mindedness and global citizenship through drama and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and support student achievement.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
  • Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and digital tools to enhance learning experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant education degree or PGCE qualification.
  • Strong fluency in English as a first language.
  • Experience in teaching drama or performing arts at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as the National Curriculum for England or Cambridge IGCSE.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a British curriculum international school.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster student leadership and creativity.
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and student progress tracking.
  • Experience with drama-based co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
