Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inspirational drama lessons across a range of age groups.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters creativity, confidence, and critical thinking.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Performing Arts Team to enhance the overall arts experience.
  • Engage students in extracurricular drama activities and productions.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and assessment, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Encourage a love for drama and the performing arts through innovative and engaging teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in drama.
  • Experience in teaching drama at KS3 or A Level, or the ability to teach across both levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and the development of a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading drama productions or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or working with diverse student groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and inspire in the classroom.
