The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching GCSE and A-level Product Design, with a focus on quality making and the use of ICT, including CAD/CAM. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach GCSE and A-level Design Technology and Product Design courses using the National Curriculum.
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate ICT, CAD/CAM, and interactive whiteboard technology.
- Develop and maintain high-quality workshop and classroom resources.
- Support students in achieving excellent results through individual and group-based learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Stay up to date with developments in technology and curriculum requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Product Design, Manufacturing, Graphics, or Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and ICT, including CAD/CAM.
- Experience in workshop skills and quality making.
- Ability to teach AQA GCSE and A-level Product Design.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student support.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or working within a school environment.
- Familiarity with interactive teaching technologies.
- Demonstrated success in student achievement and engagement.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in education.
