The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching GCSE and A-level Product Design, with a focus on quality making and the use of ICT, including CAD/CAM. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE and A-level Design Technology and Product Design courses using the National Curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate ICT, CAD/CAM, and interactive whiteboard technology.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality workshop and classroom resources.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results through individual and group-based learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in technology and curriculum requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Product Design, Manufacturing, Graphics, or Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and ICT, including CAD/CAM.
  • Experience in workshop skills and quality making.
  • Ability to teach AQA GCSE and A-level Product Design.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student support.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or working within a school environment.
  • Familiarity with interactive teaching technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in student achievement and engagement.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in education.
