Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom and through targeted language interventions.
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to EAL learners.
  • Monitor and track students’ language development and progress.
  • Work closely with teachers and the EAL team to provide individualised support.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Assist with small group and one-to-one language sessions.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive learning strategies.
  • Promote a welcoming and supportive environment for all learners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in English, maths, and other relevant subjects.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to supporting students’ academic and emotional well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience working with EAL students.
  • Confidence in delivering language-based interventions.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices.
