The Opportunity:
As an Early Childhood Homeroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the early learning experiences of young children. Using the Reggio Emilia approach, you will create a stimulating, inquiry-based environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement inquiry-based and play-based learning experiences tailored to young learners
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional, social, and academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and specialists to support holistic child development
- Document and assess student progress through reflective and ongoing observation
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with families to support student learning and well-being
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to enhance teaching practices
- Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusion within the classroom and school community
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the school’s mission and values
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised teaching qualification and degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Early Years teaching
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and play-based learning approaches
- Experience working in an international school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to child-centered learning and family partnerships
Preferred
- Experience with the Reggio Emilia approach
- Familiarity with the British curriculum or international education systems
- Experience in curriculum development and reflective practice
- Proficiency in multiple languages
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
