The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team and support the education and care of children aged 1–4. This role plays a vital part in shaping young minds and ensuring a positive start to learning. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic and nurturing environment that values professional development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 1–4 in a stimulating and safe environment.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive approach to child development and learning.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development.
- Support the implementation of policies and procedures related to health, safety, and welfare.
- Promote positive relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and involvement.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, well-organised, and safe at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in an Early Years setting.
- NNEB or NVQ Level 2 qualification in Early Years (Level 3 desirable).
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly on a rotational shift basis (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week).
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or nursery setting.
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- First aid and emergency paediatric first aid qualifications.
