The Opportunity:
As a Standards and Progress Leader, you will be responsible for the academic progress and pastoral care of a year group of 270 students. This role offers a senior leadership position with opportunities for further advancement and a chance to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 10 Form Tutors to deliver an engaging and effective tutorial programme.
- Oversee the academic progress, behaviour, and attendance of a year group of 270 students.
- Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team’s priorities and school improvement strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student development.
- Ensure the implementation of school policies and initiatives that promote student success and well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to maintain high standards of education and pastoral care.
- Monitor and report on student performance and progress regularly.
- Support the professional development of Form Tutors and other staff members.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
- Strong track record in improving student outcomes and behaviour.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing a team of educators.
- Ability to contribute to school improvement strategies at a senior level.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a large comprehensive school.
- Familiarity with the Bridge Academy Trust’s values and mission.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting on student progress.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
