The Opportunity:

As a Standards and Progress Leader, you will be responsible for the academic progress and pastoral care of a year group of 270 students. This role offers a senior leadership position with opportunities for further advancement and a chance to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 10 Form Tutors to deliver an engaging and effective tutorial programme.
  • Oversee the academic progress, behaviour, and attendance of a year group of 270 students.
  • Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team’s priorities and school improvement strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student development.
  • Ensure the implementation of school policies and initiatives that promote student success and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to maintain high standards of education and pastoral care.
  • Monitor and report on student performance and progress regularly.
  • Support the professional development of Form Tutors and other staff members.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong track record in improving student outcomes and behaviour.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing a team of educators.
  • Ability to contribute to school improvement strategies at a senior level.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role within a large comprehensive school.
  • Familiarity with the Bridge Academy Trust’s values and mission.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting on student progress.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
