The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Economics and Business Studies Teacher to join a dynamic and professional team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons at A Level and supporting students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Economics and Business Studies lessons to students up to Year 13.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum and prepares students for GCSEs and A Levels.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK qualified teacher with a QTS honours Degree or a PGCE qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Economics and Business Studies at A Level.
  • Ability to teach up to Year 13 with a strong understanding of the subject matter.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience of delivering BTEC qualifications.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
