Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons that inspire students and support their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure the happiness and academic success of all students.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively, promoting positive behavior and a culture of respect and inclusion.
  • Assess student progress using school systems and provide feedback to parents and carers.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • Support the planning and delivery of school events, outings, and activities.
  • Maintain a positive and solution-focused attitude, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in teaching.
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Preferred

  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
