Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Economics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including IGCSE, A Level, and IB.
• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that align with the school’s high academic standards.
• Support students in achieving outstanding results in Economics at both IGCSE and IB levels.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Economics department’s teaching methods and resources.
• Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students, contributing to their overall development.
• Stay updated with current economic trends and integrate them into the curriculum.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to maintain excellence in teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a closely related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
• Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience.
• Ability to teach Economics through Key Stages 3 to 5, including IB and A Level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a British curriculum setting.
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme.
• Demonstrated success in achieving high student outcomes.
• Experience with technology-enhanced teaching methods.
