The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Food and Nutrition Teacher to join its dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and inspire a love of learning through engaging and practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Food and Nutrition lessons for KS3 and GCSE students.
  • Create innovative and practical learning experiences that align with the UK curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised guidance and feedback.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events that promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and integrate new ideas into lessons.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and QTS.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience in the UK curriculum.
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Food and Nutrition.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision and values, including participation in extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Level 3 BTEC Hospitality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative.
